Missed Connection Insurance
Reimbursement for any extra expense incurred as a consequence of a connecting flight being missed.
This benefit reimburses you for any additional transportation cost to join your trip and reasonable accommodation and meal expenses up to the amount covered by the policy necessarily incurred by you for which there is proof of purchase and which were not paid for or provided by any other source, in case of a missed connection due to reasons covered by the policy.
Coverage:
- Expenses incurred on reasonable hotel accommodation, restaurant meals or refreshments, if not provided by the carrier or other third party, provided bills/ receipts are produced.
- Non-refundable, unused portion of the pre-paid expenses as long as these expenses are supported by a proof of purchase and is not reimbursable by another source. The delay has to be certified by the concerned airline for claim to be payable.
Exclusions:
- Any loss due to any reason other than the ones mentioned above in the coverage.
- Any exclusion mentioned in the 'General Exclusions' section of the policy terms and conditions.
